  • Emigrated from Switzerland and immigrated to Canada in 1993 directly to Smithers.
  • Bought land in Driftwood and arranged a pile of logs so people can eventually eat and sleep in it.
  • Qualification: supported an awful lot of fine food stores and restaurants in Switzerland while we still had decent paying jobs as teachers.
  • Started baking and cooking for paying guests at the Logpile in 1997 and were told that our food was edible.
  • Presently are still cooking and are pleased to report that there are some people who keep returning for another meal.
  • Though we have been Canadian Citizens for many years now, we are still heavily influenced by the four major food groups cultivated in Switzerland: Butter, cream, cheese and chocolate.
